JOB DESCRIPTION: ROUTE SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Position purpose:
Safely operate company vehicles and representing the company with a positive “can-do” spirit.
Servicing our customers’ needs by providing timely delivery and pick up of merchandise while managing inventories.
Look for opportunities to grow our company revenue through internal and external customer sales while building relationships to renew customer service agreements.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:
Safe operation of company vehicles.
Use manifest to verify the amount of merchandise that they load into the truck each day and that it accurately represents the amounts needed to satisfy customer requirements.
Deliver clean merchandise to our customers and pick up the corresponding soiled product.
Maintain accurate inventory levels at our customer’s locations.
Operate a handheld device for invoicing, soil ordering and inventory maintenance.
Look for sales opportunities through add-on sales and sales leads.
Personally sell smaller accounts through securing service agreements.
Obtain customer contract renewals.
Accurately account for all company money relating to the route.
Control credits within company guidelines.
Manage route business gains and losses to assure weekly net gains.
Manage garment quality through company budget process.
A/R Collections as needed.
Unload the truck at the end of the day.
Accurate reporting of the vehicle condition, customer needs and account for an accurate route settlement including all company monies.

Qualifications:
Acceptable MVR.
Valid Chauffeurs license.
Medical DOT card.
Able to perform essential job functions.
Drive delivery vehicles.
Lift up to 70lbs repeatedly.
Be able to climb stairs.
Perform mathematical functions.
Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.
Able to handle money, make change, and use handheld electronic device.

Special Position Requirements:
Being able to interact with customers.
Problem-solving skills.
Able to handle, in a positive manner, customer complaints and requests.

Preferences:
High school or GED equivalent
Some college preferred

Work Requirements:
Work outside in the weather elements.
Lift soil linen.
Carry clean linen.
Able to lift overhead and bend throughout the day.
Flexible work schedule Mon-Fri some Saturdays.
Some flexible hours 7:00 am – 6:30 pm.
